A race for education!

Paris, Saturday, September 26th, 2015: people, smiling and wearing tracksuit, arrive to our last fundraising initiative: a race which was attended by several dozens people. At around 10 am, everyone meets on a barge to have a coffee and talk about their summer holidays. At 11 am, they put on their Bayon school tee-shirt and head for the nearby park for the start. Each one sets an objective: 1 lap, 2 laps, 5 laps for the bravest! We’re off! Our president Vincent Robert and Christophe Facomprez, our administrator, cheer on the runnres along the circuit.

After the effort, people get back to the barge for a well-deserved brunch. Vincent takes the floor to review the NGO, the evolution since last year, but also to appeal to our future sponsors’ generosity. It is also a great occasion to welcome and introduce Claire Buisson, the new program manager in Siem Reap, who will stand in for Ange. At about 3 pm, people start leaving the barge and everybody is already thinking about next year!

A positive assessment

Julie Poutrel, who is very involved in our actions, made lots of gifts (calendars, bookmarks, greeting cards…) in the colours of the association. We raise over 300 € thanks to these sales! What’s more, about 20 new sponsors join Bayon school and we benefit from the present companies’ great generosity with over 3 000 €.

We would like to thank all the people who invested their energy during that sunny day! A big thank you to Bnp Paribas Real Estate, and particularly to the president Mr Thierry Laroue-Pont, who made available their barge, waiters and sports club free of charge. Thank you to the company Terreis for providing the drinks. Finally, we thank the companies B&C France and Properteam for their generous donations.
